Olympians Urge on Iran to Stop Execution of Boxing Star

More than 20 Olympic medallists, trainers and other international athletes have put their names to a letter calling for a stop to the capital punishment of a champion boxer and trainer, who is facing execution in the nation.

Amid increasing global condemnation over Iran’s escalating use of the death penalty as a tool of oppression, the strongly worded letter denounces the Iranian regime's verdict to uphold the death sentence of the boxing champion.
