Tehran States It Could Rejoin American Nuclear Discussions if Handled with 'Respect' and 'Honor'

Tehran is prepared to resume atomic discussions with the United States provided that it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's top diplomat has announced.

Abbas Araghchi said solely negotiations worked, and shared fresh requests had originated from go-betweens to reopen discussions with the Trump administration. He said Iran had zero secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to allow the global atomic watchdog to visit attacked atomic facilities for security reasons.

Walking a Difficult Course

Araghchi is walking a challenging path since Iran does not want be perceived to be acting from a position of vulnerability, and he insisted repeatedly that Iran had arisen stronger defensively and psychologically from the coordinated strike on its nuclear sites in June.

He was speaking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he restated that Iran had "an absolute privilege to refine atomic fuel domestically that it will perpetually retain" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Earlier Discussions Suddenly Terminated

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious end on 12 June when the Israeli government, with American backing, struck Tehran's atomic facilities in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with Donald Trump declaring the facilities had been obliterated. Afterward, EU nations employed their right to reimpose international penalties, but Iran insists they have not had a significant effect.

Magic Solution Offered

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had reached a "magic solution" to the nuclear fuel concern in prior discussions, when it was decided an Iran-based consortium with Washington's engagement could process nuclear material. Both sides would have been able to assert triumph since domestic enrichment would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's atomic project was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been settled in the talks that Washington's technical specialists could operate on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the consortium proposal. Representatives asserted three times they had secured an understanding with the US representative the American negotiator only for the agreement to fall apart due to "detractors in America".

Existing Position

He asserted the attacks commenced with a Washington's ultimatum for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is certain the opening assaults from Tel Aviv were mounted with complete American awareness and coordination, making faith challenging to restore.

Negotiations Remains the Ultimate Solution

The foreign minister stated: "Tehran was not the one that had fled diplomacy; it was America and the European states that had consistently attempted to dictate their will during the discussions. Negotiations can still be alive and remains the primary answer to resolve disagreements, but its standards, guidelines and tenets must be adhered to."

"Provided that they talk to the nation of Iran with the tone of dignity and respect, they will receive a answer in the equivalent approach."

Restoration and Rebuilding

In what is described by Iranian officials as the struggle of recovery and recovery, the foreign minister claimed he was certain Iran's security strengths "have significantly improved than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year.
